Hi Bud,
There is a new sherrif in town. Many squadron commanders have been frustrated with the slow sign up and taken matters into their own hands. To date, four squadrons have sent letters to all of their members telling them that if they don't "Opt Our" by a certain date, they will be auto-enrolled into SailAngle.com. This program has gone smoothly and has been accepted by the squadron members. In fact, with more than 500 members who've received letters fewer than 5 total have "opted out." It seems that this is the way to go.
Now to answer your other question. SailAngle.com is on the schedule for Friday from 0800-0930 in Coronado Room F & G. We will start the meeting with a testimonial from one of the squadron commanders who auto-enrolled their entire squadron with the "opt out" letter and they will tell you about their experience and difference it has made in communicating with their squadron.
After the testimonial, we will give a live demonstration of the sign-up process and then walk the audience through the various features and provide many tips and tricks on how to get the most out of SailAngle.com. For example, one SEO creates private groups for each of the USPS courses and then uses those Groups to post and recieve homework, post problems and their solutions, and to provide notification to the class of change in location or schedule. The last 20 minutes of the presentation will be devoted to audience questions and answers.
Please join us Friday at 0800 in Coronado Room F & G. You will find the live presentation fun and informative.
