Craig started sailing at the age of 4. He grew up in Savannah, Georgia and was active in dinghy and PHRF racing, and now makes his home in Newport, RI. He has been a professional sailor for 15 years and has sailed extensively on the East coast of the United States, Caribbean Sea, Pacific Central American and has participated in dozens of Classic Regattas and big boat races.

Craig is also an accomplished watercolor artist and a gourmet cook. When he isn't "messing about in boats" he spends time in the backwoods of his native Georgia painting landscapes, or capturing impressions of the Newport waterfront. He is also a heavy metal artist and sometimes works in his cousin's custom motorcycle shop helping create custom choppers.
