Cary is President of Pantaenius America Ltd., a yacht insurance company. In addition, he is a licensed attorney specializing in maritime and insurance law and admitted to the state and federal bars of New York, New Jersey, District of Columbia, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire and Texas.
Prior to joining Pantaenius, he was a Senior and Founding Partner of DeOrchis Wiener & Partners LLP, a New York maritime and insurance law firm. As an attorney, he has represented insurance companies and yacht owners; drafted insurance policies; served as P&I correspondent for various Clubs, and litigated personal injury and hull claims.
Mr. Wiener currently holds a New York State Insurance Broker and Surplus License in all lines of insurance (property, casualty, life, accident and health) and is licensed in all fifty states. He is licensed as an Independent General Adjuster, and also holds a license as a Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Responder.
He was elected vice chairman of the U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Marine Personnel Advisory Committee; has served as secretary of the Maritime Law Association Committee on Insurance, and served on the board of governors of the Maritime Security Council
