Aegean Yacht Launches the 57m Superyacht 'Montigne'

September 5, 2009: TUZLA, TURKEY - - Over the course of the last 30 years, Aegean Yacht, one of the leading builders in Turkey, has evolved intelligently to consistently produce high quality and seaworthy yachts that are regularly showcased in the media.


Instantly recognizable for its elegant vessels, Aegean Yacht has now built more than 40 motor yachts and motor sailors, each fully customized to the owner’s requirements. This month the company presented it’s latest flagship, the 57-meter (173-feet) schooner Montigne, the heir to the famous 50-meter (164-feet) Galileo.



The classical-style Montigne, built to RINA and MCA, is not only the largest vessel Aegean Yacht has built to date but is also the biggest yacht of her class so far built in Turkey; and with her elegant lines and luxurious interior, she has become one of the most prestigious private sailing yachts available for charter in the world.



Sinan Ozer, Aegean Yacht’s owner and CEO, chose to work with an international team of project managers and supervisors for the duration of this project, it was a productive 2 year period during which the Shipyard and Owner’s Team exchanged invaluable experience in collaborating to produce an aesthetically beautiful, extremely comfortable, functional and seaworthy super sail yacht.
