May 19, 2017: BERMUDA - SailAngle is reporting LIVE from Bermuda. We arrived yesterday and did a quick pass by the America's Cup Village. A huge construction effort is taking place and with only 7-days until the opening ceremony it will be close. Crew are working round the clock, but there is still much to be completed.

Megayachts and Superyachts of all size and variety have begun arrivng. Flags from the worlds major yachting centers can be seen streaming from an endless line of multi-million dollar yachts docked along the Hamilton Front Street warf. Among them is the U.S. Coast Guard training vessel Eagle under the command of Captain Matthew Meilstrup. According to Meilstrup there are 110 cadets on board plus 56 officers and enlisted crew.

You can feel the exctement building in Bermuda - - everyone is talking about the America's Cup. Locals readily say "Welcom to Bermuda." The boats are here, the crews are ready, the question is will AC Village be ready?
